HOW I WORK
I work best at the beginning: the point where there is a lot to figure out and not enough hours to figure it out in. But I can come in at any stage. If the foundations are already there, I fit around what you have and focus on what you need.
I set up systems, create structure and get the operational side running properly. The kind of work that only needs doing once but makes everything easier from that point forward.
This is not task management. It is embedded operational support: a trusted voice, an external representative, someone you can hand real ownership to.
Some clients need a few weeks to get sorted. Others keep me around for what comes next. Either way, you get someone who is fully invested in the outcome, not just the task list.
Availability: Monday to Friday, 9am to 3pm. Remote.

PRICING
I work with a small number of clients on a retained basis. That is deliberate.
£30 per hour. Retained monthly or scoped per project.
The retainer model exists because the work I do requires context, continuity and trust. A one-off task here and there is not what this is.

I am Gemma, the person behind Ctrl+Alt+Assist. I have spent over a decade working across operations, administration, sales, marketing and project coordination in fast-paced environments. Before this I co-founded The Utilize Project, a community interest company built to activate empty London spaces for local businesses and communities. I know what it costs to build something from scratch.
I work with a small number of founders at a time. Early-to-growth stage businesses where the right operational support makes the difference between things working and things not working. Co-working spaces, CICs and small creative businesses who need someone they can genuinely hand ownership to, not just delegate tasks.

I am based in Swanage, Dorset. I work remotely across the UK, Monday to Friday, school hours.
